Cotter is providing Phase III Engineering Services for the $65 million Illinois Tollway Roadway and Bridge Reconstruction project as part of the Central Tri-State Reconstruction Program. This project is located along 1-294 between Balmoral Avenue and Wolf Road. Daily coordination with CCM, adjacent contracts, MWRD, ComEd, various railroads and municipalities is required for numerous complex MOT stage. Services include on­site inspection, contract review, design change oversight, material testing, record preparation, and project documentation. This project involves the construction of retaining walls, retaining walls with moment slabs, contractor designed noise abatement walls, latex overlay on two 24 span bridge decks, joint replacement, approach pavement replacement, box culvert repairs and substructure repairs. Roadway work includes drainage, resurfacing, mainline pavement widening, median barrier wall construction, lighting, ITS, signing and fiber optic duct bank installation. Cotter is providing the Resident Engineer, Materials Coordinator, Documentation Technician and Inspectors for this project.
