In 1990, Anne Cotter founded Cotter Consulting, a woman-owned firm in Chicago that provides comprehensive program management, project management, and construction management services for diverse corporate, public, and institutional clients. Cotter is a purpose-driven organization that contributes to project success and provides value to its clients through leadership and results.

Our team is our greatest asset. Our experts include 100+ architects, engineers, construction managers, and LEED AP’s. We tailor our services and staffing to meet the needs of each client, organization, and project. From preconstruction to closeout, our project leaders provide the expertise and dedication to achieve each client’s vision for success.

Cotter is certified as a WBE firm by the City of Chicago and also as a WOSB by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

Cotter is recognized as a WBE by the Women’s Business Council – Southwest.

Cotter has evolved into the firm we are today because of the opportunities provided by larger firms to gain experience and build a professional staff with the capabilities to serve as prime consultant on projects. Since then, we have actively provided up-and-coming firms with the same opportunities. We are proud of our average engagement of over 80% MBE/WBE/DBE participation on our prime contracts. We are committed to supporting these firms so that together we can build a broader pool of experienced and diverse professionals in the AEC industry.
