We were engaged by Choice Hotels who was an equity investor in the project as well as the operator once construction was completed and the hotel was put in service. We provided an independent due diligence review the project including scope, cost and schedule, prior the start of construction. Our role continued with providing monitoring of progress in the construction phase on behalf of Choice.

Cambria Hotel Chicago – City Center
A Choice Hotel, the 197-key Cambria Hotel Chicago – City Center is an adaptive reuse project converted from an existing 237,067 sf, 23-story office tower above the historic 1925 Nederlander Theatre (originally named the Oriental Theatre), which maintained operations throughout construction.
Cotter staff supported Choice Hotels and developer Murphy Asset Management by conducting a pre-closing due diligence assessment and construction phase monitoring for the project, which included complete demolition and construction of all interior components of the building: walls, ceilings, flooring, elevators, and MEPFP systems, as well as abatement and structural modifications.
