After the successful completion of the Hyatt Place in Hyde Park several years prior we continued our relationship with Smart Hotels / Olympia Companies on their newest Chicago project the Sophy, also in Hyde Park. We are extremely proud to have been a part of the team to help deliver this custom boutique hotel. We worked closely with the development team, as an extension of their staff, throughout the construction phase including the FF&E and startup of all systems

The SOPHY Hotel
Cotter provided the SOPHY Hotel owner’s representative services for the new hotel in Chicago. The 98-room SOPHY, located in the heart of Chicago’s historic Hyde Park neighborhood is managed by The Olympia Companies. SOPHY features Mesler Kitchen, outdoor dining, a business center, and a fitness center. SOPHY is designed as a four-diamond luxury property and achieved LEED Silver certification. The SOPHY made Travel and Leisure’s 2019 It List of the World’s Best New Hotels and has been a vibrant addition to the Hyde Park neighborhood.

The SOPHY made Travel + Leisure's It List of the World's Best New Hotels in 2019!Cotter Consulting was a vital part of the success of the Sophy Hotel. They did a great job of holding contractors and consultants accountable for their deliverables through the construction phase and provided day to day supervision of FF&E installation. They provided us with invaluable “eyes and ears” on site which enabled us to respond to field issues in a timely manner.
