Project

University of Chicago Harper Court Office Restack

Cotter was engaged by the University of Chicago to perform a feasibility study of the Harper Court development. The purpose was to determine if the consolidation of existing occupied space could provide opportunities to vacate full floor plates to optimize business goals for the Harper Court office restack. Cotter oversaw the development of a rent analysis to support the consolidation, coordinated user group needs assessment, confirmed user group layouts, created conceptual cost estimates, oversaw the renovation of existing furniture layouts to maximize space utilization, and coordinated communications with user groups, department head, and building management. Cotter provided oversight and coordination of construction management, architecture, engineering, and trade contractors to ensure the restack was built to specification.
