Regional Electric Utility Company | NERC Distribution Compliance Program

The North American Electric Reliability Corp. (NERC) reliability standards dictate reliable power supply and the distinct business and communication practices required of electric power generation and transmission owners. Non-compliance can result in significant fines. Cotter Consulting, as a sub-consultant to Burns & McDonnell, is providing comprehensive NERC compliance management solutions to effectively comply with the NERC reliability standards to a Regional Electric Utility Company.

As part of this team, Cotter is providing field project management, project reporting, and project controls services including scheduling, cost management, and document control. The Cotter team is responsible for CPM schedule updates, schedule reporting, cost forecasting, and cost reporting to keep the program on time and on budget. Cotter also provides day-to-day project management of construction activities to ensure the work meets the NERC deadline by the 2019 cutoff.

Cotter was able to bring in resources to assist the PMOC Team who have a total of 86 years of experience working on the Client’s System. Over the years, the Cotter Team has developed a wide network of relationships with the Client and the Client’s contractor community, so if there is ever an issue, we know who to go to. Our knowledge of the Client’s systems gives us an edge in proper financial reporting, material tracking, outage coordination, and closeout issues.
