Abraham Lincoln Elementary School Annex

Abraham Lincoln Elementary School Annex Project Management Cotter Consulting

Cotter provided project management services for the Abraham Lincoln Elementary School Annex addition. The Annex project involved the construction of a three-story 41,000 sf addition, and a contiguous weather-protected connection to the existing building, as well a renovation to the existing school building. The Abraham Lincoln Elementary School Annex renovation included the installation of a seven-stop elevator, ADA lift, and a new fire protection system as well as the renovation/reconfiguration of miscellaneous classrooms. Associated site work included a new playground. Construction on this very tight site required the temporary relocation of power lines on new temporary poles, coordination of incoming gas service, and relocated communication lines.

Cotter oversaw the project team including the general contractor, the architect of record, and the assistant project manager. In addition, Cotter managed the anticipated and forecasted schedules, costs, and trends, and was responsible to develop cost estimates, process change orders, and consultant amendments, conduct weekly meetings, coordinate long-lead times, and oversee LEED activities.
