Project

WisDOT Marquette Interchange

The Marquette Interchange is vital to the region’s economy and transportation system. Located in the heart of Milwaukee’s downtown, the interchange of I-94, I-794, and I-43 is the cornerstone of the southeastern Wisconsin freeway system. The project included five miles of Interstate highway, 28 ramps, and 55 bridges. Cotter provided construction program management services as a sub-consultant on this project.

At the time of completion, it was the largest and most expensive road construction project in Wisconsin history. The interchange was completed two months ahead of schedule and was also completed under budget.
