Cotter Gives Back: An Afternoon with Girls in the Game

By Clinton Snider

This week, Cotter was proud to partner with Girls in the Game for an afternoon of mentorship, learning, and games! Girls in the Game is a non for profit organization whose mission is to empower young girls to build confidence and prepare for their futures through sports, education, and leadership programs. Girls in the Game’s Summer Squad program allows teens to take part in leadership opportunities during their summer break. The teens attend Leader-to-Leader panels, enjoy workshops with guest coaches, go on field trips, learn to coach younger participants, and more while earning a stipend for their participation.

Cotter panelists included Laura Tomas, Jordan Nunn, Lydia Morales, Sydney Scepkowski, Brandon Pejskar, Ash Antunez, and Jordan Williams.

During the leadership workshop, panelists answer questions regarding college and career paths formulated by the girls. The teens prep in advance and lead the event while also participating in fun icebreakers and activities meant to challenge and educate.

Cotter supports Girls in the Game’s mission to empower all girls to speak up, stand out, and inspire future generations!
