Cotter Participates in the 2023 Special Olympics Plane Pull

By Clinton Snider

On September 30th, Cotter once again participated in the Special Olympics Plane Pull at O’Hare Airport. The event is a tug-of-war style competition allowing each participating team to contribute to raising a minimum of $1000. The proceeds go directly to the Special Olympics Illinois and their continued mission of providing year-round sports training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type sports for those with disabilities.

Cotter applied all of their strength to pulling the United Airlines 737 plane which weighs nearly 48 tons. The Cotter team achieved a time of approximately 8.2 seconds in the event’s open division!

We love supporting organizations like the Special Olympics Illinois as they help transform lives through the simple joys of sports and physical activity. These community-focused organizations give Cotter the opportunity to give back, get involved, and spread information throughout our communities about how others can get involved and better informed.
