Through our GSA Schedule, the VAMC engaged Cotter to provide construction management services to support the VA Facility Management Department with professional, technical, and administrative services related to design and construction activities. Cotter’s team worked with 10 VA project managers to perform or process inspections for daily interim life safety measures, weekly safety inspections, construction inspections, review of project architectural and engineering design and contract documents, preparation of minutes, and processing of requests for information and submittals.
Cotter supported the management of approximately 190 open projects, 30 of which were in the construction phase. The projects included department consolidations, expansions and relocations, facility renewals and repairs, mechanical and diagnostic equipment upgrades and replacements, life safety improvements, roadway and parking repaving, demolition and construction of new clinic, and mental health units.
