One of the neat perks of construction management is that no two projects are exactly alike, but working on the Milwaukee County Zoo Otter Exhibit was truly a one of a kind experience. Having the opportunity to build something that I can take my daughter to and enjoy with family and friends for years to come is extremely fulfilling. The fact that it turned out so beautiful is just the cherry on top!
Milwaukee County Zoo West Entrance and Otter Exhibit
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Zoo Interchange project used a portion of land from the Milwaukee County Zoo‘s east parking lot. This prompted Milwaukee County Zoo to develop plans for a new west entrance, outdoor otter exhibit, ticket booth, gift shop, food service building and 525-space parking lot.
Teaming with Gilbane, Cotter provided Construction Management services to assist the County in executing the project construction. An on-site field engineer assisted with RFIs, submittals, meeting notes, and facilitated Owner-Contractor-Architect communication.
