Sue O’Connor recognized as Notable CFO by Crain’s Chicago Business

By Anne Edwards-Cotter, CCM

Cotter is excited to announce our Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Sue O’Connor, has been recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business among its Notable CFOs for 2023. This recognition is granted to CFOs who have provided exceptional support to their organization through effective, calculated strategies. In 2022, Sue demonstrated this capability by spearheading the efforts to optimize our accounting system. This critical project involved facilitating the assessment of software options, taking the data that was hosted on our older accounting system and migrating it to a newer, cloud-based software, and leading the capstone project’s implementation. This is one of many examples of Sue’s abundant value to each project.

Sue has over 30 years of experience providing finance, administrative, and operational management in professional services organizations. She has the proven ability to improve operations, impact business growth, and maximize profits through achievements in cash management, cost control, procedural improvements, and internal controls, as well as strong qualifications in business planning and implementation and staff leadership and development.
