Carole TomkoBoard Member and Executive Advisor
Carole Tomko, J.D. has over 30 years of experience as a business leader and Human Resources professional, with a particular emphasis on succession planning, organizational transformation, executive compensation, executive recruiting, labor and employee relations, talent management, and mergers and acquisitions. She successfully led HR for two public companies, working directly with their Boards of Directors, for a combined period of 15 years. In addition to Carole’s corporate experience, she previously co-owned a successful consulting and executive search practice for 15 years, where her clients included a number of privately-held, founder-led, and family-owned businesses. Carole also is a partner in her family’s real estate investment business, which since 1981 has grown from one duplex to a portfolio of commercial and residential real estate in Columbus’s highly-desirable CBD and first-ring suburbs.
Carole’s service as a Director for both for-profit and non-profit organizations has spanned over 20 years. Carole currently sits on three private company Boards:
- The Conti Group, a private, fourth-generation, family-owned conglomerate that manages and services large engineering, construction, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects.
- Cotter Consulting, a private family-owned program, project, and construction management services firm.
- CardX, a founder-led, growth-stage FinTech company that provides technology-enabled compliance for passing on credit card fees to customers. CardX serves clients in business, government, and Higher Education.
