Joe and Rika Mansueto Library

The $81 million new library addition to the University's Regenstein library includes an underground automated storage retrieval system and a glass dome covering the Grand Reading Room. It is supported by a 50-foot deep slurry wall foundation.

Project management from planning phase through construction of the landmark designated Mies van der Rohe Crown Hall. Awards include the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Award for Project of the Year- Landmark Illinois, a Citation of Merit from AIA Chicago and an Honor Award from Chicago Landmarks Commission.

Water Tower Campus Residence Hall

Project management services for a new 25-story residence hall on the Water Tower Campus to accomodate the University's expanding student population with modern housing in the heart of downtown Chicago. Part of a comprehensive effort to modernize the Water Tower Campus, the hall houses a full-service cafeteria, a University Bookstore, and local restaurant. Students live in comfortable, modern suites, with shared living rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and a breathtaking view of the heart of Chicago.

Winthrop Residence Hall

Owner's representative services for the design and construction of a 116,105 square foot, seven-story residence hall on the Lake Shore campus of the University. Built to accommodate numerous user groups, it functions as a dormitory during the school year and a conference center during the summer.

Projects are located in the Everett McKinley Dirksen U.S. Courthouse, the Ralph H. Metcalfe Federal Building, the John C. Kluczynski Federal Building, and the Harold Washington Social Security Center.

New construction of the $6.4 million El Valor Carlos H Cantu Children and Family Center and the 22,208 square foot Elgin Child and Family Resource Center ; $7.5 million, renovation and addition of the historic Concordia Avondale Campus. IFF is the largest community development financial institution exclusively serving non-profit corporations in the Midwest. They offer affordable financing for nonprofits that serve low-income and special need populations.

Cereal Crops Research Unit

Construction inspection services for the construction of a new 34,063 square foot laboratory on the University of Wisconsin Madison campus. Research is done on the biological processes affecting the growth, development, and properties of cereal grains and evaluates these findings for potential applications to improve cereal quality.

Technological Institute Plaza Repairs and Other Various Projects

Project management services for a wide range of projects, from exterior site improvements to interior renovations for office, faculty/student and laboratory use. Worked with Northwestern University's Facilities Management Design and Construction department on projects including the Swift Hall Linguistics Lab, the Frances Searle School of Communications CollaboLab and ArticuLab, Soccer/Lacrosse Facilities and the Social and Cultural Neuroscience Lab.

Institute for Environmentally Integrated Dairy Management

Marshfield, Wisconsin

Construction inspection services for the construction of the new 22,200 square foot Nutrient Management Lab and 76,400 square foot Animal Holding Facility on the University of Wisconsin research campus. Research is done to improve nutrient management systems; reduce degradation of air, water, and soil from livestock waste; control pathogen transmission between livestock, wildlife, humans, and the environment; and transfer and apply knowledge to all segments of the dairy industry.

Quinlan Life Science Education and Research Building

Project management services for the 140,000 square foot, $40 million biology teaching and research laboratory on the University's Lake Shore Campus. This state-of-the-art facility includes a green roof with a prairie garden. Some of the environmental benefits of the roof include storm water detention, improved water quality and reduction of the heat island effect of the city.

Public Building Commission Demolition

Construction management services for demolition of properties throughout the City of Chicago to prepare sites for construction of new city libraries, fire and police stations. Services spanned six years and included over 400 properties.

Loyola University Chicago

Mundelein Center

Chicago, Illinois

Renovation of the 14-story, 135,000 square foot multi-use center on the University's Lake Shore Campus required Cotter to split the project into five phases to allow the center to run during construction. Originally the site of Mundelein College, the building's classrooms and dorms will be converted into multi-media classrooms and support areas, and a 400-seat traditional theater and 200-seat theater will be expanded to include rooms for scenery, costume production, and storage.
