Residential Sound Insulation Program (RSIP)

SERVICES: Program and construction management and homeowner and support services for one of the most successful resident-focused programs in the history of the City of Chicago.
PROGRAM COST: Approximately $25 million a year
SIGNIFICANT FEATURES:
- Since 1995 the Program has insulated over 12,000 homes surrounding O’Hare and Midway Airports
- 96% of all homeowners who participated in the program have reported that they would recommend it to their friends and family

O'Hare Modernization Program Quality Assurance Materials Testing
Chicago, Illinois
SERVICES: Working with quality assurance technicians, monitor the contractor’s quality control program by testing concrete, asphalt, compaction, fireproofing, welding, roofing, reinforcing bars, underdrains and gradations. Projects range from assuring runways are graded properly, checking vaults and duct banks, ensuring paving and electrical are installed correctly and sites are properly prepared.
PROJECT COSTS: $6.6 billion
SIGNIFICANT FEATURES:
- Transforming O’Hare’s airfield from a system of intersecting runways into a modern parallel runway configuration, reducing delays from 20+ minutes to less than 6 minutes and increasing capacity for an additional 300,000 flights a year
- One of the largest construction projects in the country at one of the world’s busiest airports
- Lab tests soil, aggregate, bituminous mixtures, and concrete which are then sorted, recycled and reused on various projects on the airfield

F.A.C.E.: Facade and Circulation Enhancements

SERVICES: Field inspection services for the expansion of the front sections of Terminals 2 & 3 at O’Hare Airport to increase traffic circulation
PROJECT COST: $130 million
SIGNIFICANT FEATURES:
- Work included installation of a new, cable-supported curtainwall, elevators, escalators and an exterior canopy that covers two traffic lanes as well as the front walkway of the terminals
- Complicated by various site conditions including nearby utility and pedestrian tunnels, a 25-foot depth between the existing façade and the upper-level roadway and high volumes of automobile and foot traffic in the area

AOR (Department of Aviation)
Job Order Contracting (JOC) Program Management
SERVICES: Program management services for the JOC program at O’Hare International, Meigs Field and Midway Airports from program initiation and continuing over 10 years
PROJECT COST: $4 million/year
SIGNIFICANT FEATURES:
- Included 475 projects, averaging nearly 50 projects a year
- Included a variety of projects including build-outs of DOA offices, construction of a heliport, parking lot reconstruction, painting exterior railings and canopies, landscaping improvements and installation of noise abatement walls
