We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Authority to add to our team. Cotter assists its healthcare, educational, commercial, and public clients in building high-performance green buildings that are more comfortable, immediately sustainable and offer cost savings year after year. The individual will be responsible for verifying and providing documented confirmation that building systems are designed, installed, functionally tested and can be operated and maintained to meet the owner's operational needs. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field, a PE and/or Commissioning certification, and 8+ years experience with HVAC and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including 2 years commissioning experience. This position reports to the Group Manager, Commissioning.

As we prepare the firm for success in the next generation, we are filling a new position of Group Manager to manage Cotter engineering staff and supervise, direct, and coordinate construction management of road, highway, and bridge construction projects. The individual will be responsible for the growth and success of the group through business development, client relations, project management, business administration, and staff management and development. The position requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, PE licensure, 15 years related experience, including 5 years managing others. Key contacts and relationships at IDOT and/or the Illinois Tollway are a plus.
